A quick overview of some of the basic rules of gameplay
ALWAYS CALL OUT THE FULL SCORE
- We all need to practice saying the full score before we begin to serve the ball
- It does not have to be the server as it can be his/her partner on the serving side
- In a tournament – if you do not say the score – you lose the point/serve
- If refereed – the REF will announce the score when all players are ready, and only then can the server start the serving motion
TOURNAMENT PLAY
- Games are most often to 11, win by 2
- Sometimes playoff games go to 15, win by 2
- Some tournaments have best 2 out of 3 for playoffs
